A Personal Journey Called 'FAITH'
Good and bad are such subjective terms, cultivating healthy self-esteem can be a different process for different people. Faith is a journey that takes people on different paths. There is no right or wrong as they can be blurred between the lines. Forgiveness can be really hard at times but this one statement is something that brings clarity into my life.
Never do something that you wouldn’t want others to do to you
This is a simple statement that doesn’t really need more explanation. It can be explained to a 6-year-old student and that provides a great little buffer for things. It teaches you what you should expect from others but more importantly what you should uphold yourself. Doing something without any expectation may sound very idealistic but the thing is that there will come a time when it will take a toll on you. Putting yourself first is also important and some people learn this truth the hard way. Actions will always have consequences and what you do for others will ultimately be returned to you in a befitting manner but letting go of things feels like you are losing an essential part of your life and that in itself can be quite scary but why hold on to the things that only make it tough for you to fulfill your true potential. These are all the things that go on in my head when someone asks me whether I believe in faith or whether I am a devoutly religious person.
I do believe in God but I think that it is really tough to ask someone to give it his all without wanting anything in return because the moment we do that we will start to diminish our self-worth. God does provide everything in abundance but he cannot do that unless and until we are absolutely clear on what we want and have the courage, to be honest with ourselves and those who are close to us. The worst thing in life is not when you love or hate something but when you are at a place where you are not really sure about it due to all the clusters of information that are thrown at you in today’s digitally fast-moving world. Sometimes you need to put yourself in the shoes of the other person and if you sincerely believe that the other person would never do something like this to you then maybe you need to take a back step or create a different environment and scenario in which the following events can take place. I rarely ask God to forgive me for the wrongdoings in my life or to guard me against troubles or severe circumstances. I ask him to give me the courage to be accountable for my actions and learn from my mistakes so that I learn not to repeat them again and that according to me that is what will make me a better person and that is what I strive to become rather than hiding in a façade that just forces me to intentionally or unintentionally cause any kind of harm or distress to the others.
Beautiful and ever so genuine 💕 God bless!
