The choices we make

Our choices at times
may seem inconsequential
But within each one
lies infinite potential

For there seems to be
an unfathomable thirst
All of which lies
underneath our crust

Through thick and thin
it waxes and wanes
But never shall it ever
get lost in vain

For the mind is the master
and it serves as well
Either as a tool of brutal damnation
or a source of ultimate salvation.
