The battle within

There are many a great battle that have happened and will continue to happen but the greatest battle ever fought is the battle within. It is that all elusive victory that millions seek but only a few achieve. A legion of voices in your head tells you that you are fighting an opponent to strong but you didn't ask for their opinion. Momentum is a cruel mistress that can turn on a dime and is ever looking for that weak spot in your armour. All the odds are stacked against you; every sane muscle in your body tells you to quit before its too late but you weren't built that way! You were destined for greatness and your abilities are well beyond the boundaries of sanity. Once you have done everything you can to prepare yourself for battle its time to boldly face the most cruel of enemies; the slayer of dreams; the arch nemesis of greatness and the mistress of mediocrity-'the enemy within'. You gotta be a lion in a world filled with wolves. You gotta invoke an unquenchable thirst for all that you desire and work till every last one of your damn wishes come true. Once you are ready to expel every once of energy its time to believe in yourself.

Rahul got up at 11:30 and the curtains were wide shut which created a very dark surrounding. There was little to no sunlight penetrating the room and covered in a double blanket, leaving the bed seemed like a monumental task in itself. Every now and then a door bangs so loudly that the reverberations leave you startled for days on end. The noise may fade out but the fact that someone who is so close to you can express so much rage and anger is scary. It also tells you so much about what you thought about people.
